ERIC FASKING FINE ART
Eric Fasking is an American artist currently living in Texas.
His paintings reflect a love for western themes and the great outdoors and also include a variety of subject matter, as defined in his "impressionistic realism" style. He began painting at the age of twelve in the fabled Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York, where anything that could hold paint, like river rocks, wood shingles, old bottles, and Christmas tree ornaments, were transformed into individual works of art.
He graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a Bachelor's in Fine Art.
Eric then went West to Oklahoma and Texas when his love of painting took a pause while family life and raising two wonderful young men became his priority.
25 years later, in 2009 he returned to his passion for painting and has been studying his craft diligently, traveling and attending workshops with nationally recognized artists. He now resides in Lake Jackson, Texas with his beautiful wife, Susan, and has been painting full time in the studio he and Susan, a stained glass artisan herself, built together.
He enjoys building and stretching his canvases and designing and creating frames that complement his works.
Eric is a current member of Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, the VIEWS Community, and the Outdoor Painters Society. His work is currently represented by Gabriel and Litsa Folse of Style 208 in the charming town of Fredericksburg, Texas.

LOUISE LABAUVE (1938 - 2019)
Born in Austin, Texas, she grew up in a family that valued education, hard work, creativity and community. Louise attended the University of Texas at Austin earning both her B.F.A. and M.F.A. under the instruction of William Lester (1910-1991) of the Dallas Nine, known for the Early Texas Regionalism movement. She also studied with Everett Spruce, Charles Umlauf, Michael Frary, John William Guerin, Ralph White, Stephen Magada and Constance Forsythe.
Ms. LaBauve took an early-life educational sabbatical to Mexico in 1958 and earned a tuition scholarship to Banff, Canada in 1959, both of which recognized her as an exceptional, burgeoning talent. ( www.louiselabauve.com)
Her midlife years saw her dedicated to her children and family, a solomente period. She exhibited her art through multiple galleries locally, throughout the Texas region, and nationally, and sold over 300 paintings while unleashing an artist's ideas, experiences, dreams and fears.
Upon entering her mature years in the early 2000s, Louise was learning the importance of healthy boundaries and how they support beauty, abundance, and life itself. "Meditative Transitions" is a body of LaBauve's work revealing an implicit tension between disaster and resilience, reflecting both the severity of crisis and the human capacity to reckon with loss.

Louise LaBauve's titled series include: Working with Water, Ebbs and Flows, Being Neutral, Sedimental Journey, Search Alone, Ragged Edges, Origins, Introspection, Fractured Journey, History in the Making, Fractured, Birds, Birds of a Feather, Aquatic, Afterlife, Friends, Gargoyle, Flashback.
Her medium of choice was acrylics, however, she also worked in watercolors and created mixed media pieces utilizing paper and artboard.
